Hatha Yoga, involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures – a process producing internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.  The results are improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.  A deeper experience of the self becomes possible through consistent practice. 
The one-hour class is a modified version of the Hatha/Anusara primary series. 
A moderate level of fitness is recommended.

What to Expect/What to Bring:

* Don’t come to class with a full stomach, it makes yoga very uncomfortable. If you must eat before class, make it light (fruit, smoothie, powerbar).

*Students should bring their own mat. Mats can be bought at Target, sometimes TJMaxx, and always online.

* Wear comfortable clothes, something you can move in. Women usually wear tights or shorts and a tanktop or t-shirt. Men usually wear shorts and a t-shirt. A towel is good to have for the Ashtanga classes.
